My Story; I began the practice of yoga at the age of 19 and have continued to apply the body, mind and spirit connection found thru these studies to all areas of my life. In 2000, at the age of 25 I began teaching the path of yoga because I wanted to share all of the wonderful experiences and benefits that I was receiving thru the practice. Yoga had become a way for me to connect to myself on a deeper level, eventually allowing me to connect deeply with others and the world around me as well. In 2001 I helped Laura Tyree open the first of the Dragonfly Yoga Studio’s and two years later a location in
Ft. Walton Beach . Ever since, I have dedicated my life as a teacher, helping to build the ever expanding yoga and holistic health community here on the Emerald Coast . I began traveling from Biloxi, MS to Seaside, FL and even as far away as Illinois and Tennessee spreading my love of yoga and helping others embrace, accept, heal and grow thru the practice of yoga postures, breath work, meditation and relaxation. My experience of the natural healing that can come from a healthy lifestyle supported in part thru yoga and nutrition is first hand. Tn 2004 I was injured in a serious car accident that left me coping with many challenges to the health of my body and emotional mental health. I suffered from post traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue and the loss of strength in my upper body. This experience led me to really use my yoga practice and the knowledge of whole foods nutrition to bring myself back to a state of strength, vitality and peace of body, mind and spirit. I have dedicated my life to sharing these aspects of Wellness, to educating others, to spread the knowledge and skills we all need to make the decisions and follow a path that brings about Optimum Heath and Wellbeing in our own lives.
